Project Manager

Summary

A Circuit Electric Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our company. They will work alongside office management to organize, manage, and maintain project progress.

Job Description

As a member of our project management team, you will oversee all aspects of assigned commercial projects from commencement to completion. You will manage these projects in a manner that exceeds our customer’s expectations and ensures that our high-quality work standard adheres to all company safety policies and OH&S mandated requirements. Your primary focus is safety, planning, monitoring progress, scheduling, quality, costs management, estimating, reporting, and managing project change under the direction of senior leadership. This position reports to the specific Operations Manager for continuous project debrief and outlook.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting.
  • Oversee pre-con meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field.
  • Set clear goals and expectations to foreman.
  • Communicate regularly with project foreman regarding materials, delivery, manpower & scheduling changes
  • When necessary, estimate change orders for assigned projects.
  • Material procurement and detailed shop drawings review and analysis.
  • Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement.
  • Supervise electricians & subcontractors on the job, ensuring safety standards are maintained.
  • Develop/maintain relationships network of professional relationships within our industry
  • Conduct jobsite progress meeting with clients, contractors, subcontractors as required, to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Manage all jobs closeout procedures.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in project management and estimating within the electrical sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving & decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, desire to excel in professional development.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and skills working with people and teams.

Salary

Based on industry standard and previous work experience.

Hours of Work

Full-time position – 40-44 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
